Effective: 1 March 2026 · Version 1.0
The Mendly Community Provider (“CP”) Programme is designed to give skilled individuals the opportunity to build a professional presence, grow a client base, and establish a track record on the Mendly platform - all at zero cost. Whether you’re just starting out or growing your trade, the CP Programme offers you the tools to get noticed and win work.
These Community Provider Terms (“CP Terms”) form part of and should be read together with Mendly’s general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply to your use of the Platform. In the event of any conflict between these CP Terms and the general Terms of Service on a matter specific to Community Providers, these CP Terms will take precedence.
As a Community Provider, Mendly gives you access to the following tools and features at no cost:
You get your own professional profile on the Mendly platform. This profile is visible to clients in your area and includes your name, photo, service category, ratings, reviews, and a short bio. Your profile is your digital shop front - the more complete and accurate it is, the better your chances of winning bookings.
You will appear in search results and listings shown to clients who are looking for services in your category and location. Mendly handles the marketing so you can focus on the work.
The Mendly app gives you tools to manage your bookings from start to finish, including:
The Community Provider Programme is completely free for you. Here is what that means in plain terms:
This is our way of helping skilled people get started without any financial barrier.
As a Community Provider, you are paid directly by the client in cash at the completion of the job. Mendly does not process, hold, or transfer your job payments. There is no payment disbursement to your bank account through the Platform for Community Provider bookings.
The payment arrangement that applies to Community Provider bookings is as follows:
You and the client should agree on the total price for the job before the booking is confirmed. This agreed price is what the client pays you in cash - it does not include the booking fee, which is a separate charge borne by the client.
As part of the Community Provider application, Mendly collects identity documentation for safety and fraud-prevention purposes. Mendly does not vet or verify service providers, and submitting these documents does not constitute a quality or trust check by Mendly. You will need to provide:
Your identity documents are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. They are used solely for the purposes described above and are retained securely in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Mendly reserves the right to refuse or revoke CP status where required documentation is not provided or where documents are found to be fraudulent or invalid.
In addition to the obligations set out in the general Terms of Service, as a Community Provider you specifically agree to:
You are welcome to remain a Community Provider for as long as you wish. There is no time limit on CP status, no minimum activity you must maintain, and no obligation to move to the Standard Service Provider track - staying on Community indefinitely will never affect your standing on the Platform.
If and when you would like more - the full range of Mendly’s subscription tiers, online payment processing, and premium features - graduation is available to you. As you build a track record on the Platform, Mendly may from time to time invite you to consider transitioning to a Standard Service Provider account. You are also free to request a transition yourself, at any time, through the app.
Whether an invitation is extended, or a request you make is approved, is at Mendly’s discretion, having regard to your overall account history and conduct. Mendly will respond to any graduation request within 5 business days. Declining an invitation, or choosing not to request a transition, carries no penalty and will not be held against your Community Provider status.
Upon successful graduation, your account will be upgraded and you will be invited to select a subscription tier. Standard subscription pricing will then apply in accordance with the general Terms of Service.
Mendly reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove your Community Provider status at any time where:
Where Mendly suspends your account, you will be notified of the reason and given an opportunity to respond within 7 days, except in cases of serious misconduct where immediate suspension is necessary to protect clients or the integrity of the Platform. Mendly’s decision on suspension and termination is final.
Mendly may update the terms and conditions of the Community Provider Programme from time to time, including the graduation process and the structure of client fees. We will notify you of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued participation in the Programme after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
